With a background in librarianship and photography, I’ve been working as a DAM and archives consultant since 2017. I’m passionate about archives - both analogue and digital - and am available for long and short term projects. Take a look at my services to find out more.
What is DAM?
Digital Asset Management is the methodology of storing and organising digital files - photos, videos, documents and graphics - in a centralised system. DAM is important for many reasons, but is essential for ensuring that your files are well managed and used appropriately by your organisation. Maximise your archive’s potential
Whether it’s digital or analogue, I love nothing more than bringing out the value of an archive. Photographs in dusty boxes and jpegs with no metadata are the same to me - an opportunity to help an archive to reach its potential.
Bring order to the chaos
Thousands of files, drawers of consent forms, DAM systems with hundreds of keywords….. where do you begin? A librarian at heart, the desire to put things in order is my default setting!
Am I right for you?
As a ‘cybrarian’ I don’t only work on DAM projects. My varied background in international NGOs, publishing and commercial photography means I have experience in many areas including consent, copyright, digitisation, licencing, photo editing and story writing.
